We will host various fundraising events that will raise substantial funds, increasing each year, to be used two fold. Proceeds designated exclusively to cancer research will aide in funding preliminary trials that will substantiate the need for further research in those areas. The remainder of the proceeds raised each year will be disbursed to local families, alleviating the financial burdens to which expensive treatments may contribute. Swing Fore Hope will significantly impact the lives of its recipients and assist in changing the world of cancer as we know it.

In 2003, when my (Julie) maternal Grandmother, my mom and two of my mom’s sisters were diagnosed with breast cancer within a seven month period, we were devastated.   We had been faced with the  harsh reality that 1:2 men and 1:3 women will be diagnosed with cancer over the course of his or her lifetime. Both at a loss on how to grapple with the situation, we decided to meet it head on by raising money for cancer research and subsequent treatment by starting Swing Fore Hope, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. Our main event is a golf tournament held at the Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Illinois. Each year, 100% of the proceeds go towards cancer research and  to support local families facing the financial hardships that this disease may bring. We have assisted local families by paying mortgages, medical bills, transportation to and from medical treatments, therapeutic chairs, monthly expenses, family trips, Christmas gifts and many other miscellaneous needs of our recipient families.

 In years to come, Swing Fore Hope will continue to benefit The Siteman Cancer Center of St. Louis as well as support local families that find themselves in this fight.
